Crossing The Jordan River
Because of thier lack of faith God had the Israelites live in the wilderness for 40 years.
When Moses was 120 years he died and God choose Joshua to be the new leader.
This is what God told Joshua:

". . . Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross
the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them . . ."
Joshua 1:2 (NIV)
